$1.765 billion Powerball jackpot ticket sold in Frazier Park, California

A single ticket won the $1.765 billion Powerball jackpot on Wednesday 11 October 2023. At the time it was the second-largest prize in US lottery history, behind a $2.04 billion Powerball jackpot won in California in November 2022. The numbers drawn were 22, 24, 40, 52 and 64, with Powerball 10.

The ticket came from Midway Market & Liquor in Frazier Park, around 75 miles north of Los Angeles. No one had matched all six numbers in the 35 draws since 19 July 2023. The headline figure assumed the 30-year annuity; the cash option was estimated at $774.1 million.

In March 2024 the California Lottery said a group of winners had claimed the prize, represented by Theodorus Struyck. The shop received a $1 million bonus for selling the ticket.

In Massachusetts, two tickets from the same draw each won $50,000.
