A record £195.7 million EuroMillions jackpot stays anonymous, July 2022
Tuesday 19 July 2022 · EuroMillions
On Tuesday 19 July 2022 one UK ticket matched all five main numbers and both Lucky Stars in EuroMillions. It was worth £195,707,000, the biggest prize the National Lottery has ever paid. It beat the £184 million won by Joe and Jess Thwaite in May that year.
Camelot said the next day that someone had made a claim. The ticket then had to pass the usual checks before the money could be paid. Andy Carter, Camelot's senior winners' adviser, said history had been made for a UK player.
The winner has not been named. Camelot would not say whether the prize went to one person or a syndicate, or where the ticket was bought.
It is still the largest UK lottery win. The Thwaites' prize remains second, ahead of an anonymous £181 million win in March 2026.
