New Lotto: two rounds for every £2 line from 10 June 2026
Wednesday 10 June 2026 · Lotto
On 14 April 2026 Allwyn announced what it called the biggest-ever change to Lotto. A single £2 line is now checked against two separate draws every Wednesday and Saturday. Each round draws six main balls and a Bonus Ball on its own machine.
Players still pick six numbers from 1 to 59. The jackpot still starts at £2 million and is split across both rounds. After five rollovers in a row, the next draw must be won. Every other tier pays a fixed cash prize in each round, including £1 million for five main numbers plus the Bonus Ball.
Allwyn said a prize of some kind would now come once in about 4.9 lines rather than 9.3. It expected around 345 Lotto millionaires a year, against roughly 140 before.
Tickets went on sale on Sunday 7 June and the first two-round draw took place on Wednesday 10 June 2026. That first draw produced almost 1.5 million winners across its two rounds. On 13 June, three Round 2 tickets matched five numbers and the Bonus Ball, winning £1 million each.
